Tell your Member of Parliament to remove the last of B.C.'s factory fish farms

This is a critical moment.

The federal government promised to remove all marine salmon farms from B.C. waters, and more than 40% have already been removed. But Ottawa has gone quiet on how the rest will be phased out, while foreign salmon farming companies are ramping up pressure behind closed doors.

Factory salmon farms spread disease and parasites to wild salmon, pollute coastal waters, and threaten local food sources like wild fish and shellfish. And every Atlantic salmon farm operating in B.C. is foreign-owned, with profits flowing overseas while wild salmon and Canadians pay the price.

Now is the time to remind Ottawa that Canadians expect this promise to be kept.

When you click the MAKE THE CALL button, the system will call your phone and patch you through. If it’s unable to connect you with your MP, it will try the Fisheries Minister. PLEASE HAVE YOUR PHONE READY. Your service provider may flag it as spam, but it’s not.

Your voice matters—feel free to use any of the following points in your message:

  • The federal government promised to remove all open-net pen salmon farms from B.C. Over 40% have already been removed in recent years. They need to finish the job.
  • Factory salmon farms spread viruses and parasites to wild salmon.
  • They pollute coastal waters and can devastate local food sources like wild salmon and shellfish.
  • All B.C. Atlantic salmon farms are foreign-owned, putting profits ahead of Pacific wild salmon.

Let’s hold the government to its word — and defend wild salmon for Canadians. If no one answers, please leave a message.
