B.C. Politicians: Support the Fish Farm Ban!
The federal government announced a ban on all marine factory salmon farms, but it doesn’t start until 2029.
Foreign-owned factory fish farm lobbyists are working overtime to weasel out of the ban.
The B.C. government needs to help Ottawa solidify the ban and get all factory fish farms off our coast, once and for all.
Provincial politicians need to support rural jobs that depend on wild salmon and a healthy coast. Factory fish farms spew parasites, viruses, and bacteria right on wild salmon migration routes.
The province can’t let factory fish farm companies weasel out of the ban using unproven technologies like semi-closed containment.
